[... there's something to be said, probably, about the fact that genya is telling him all of this, while maintaining the contact that senjuro offered. it may be desperation on genya's part just as easily as it could be trust in senjuro, but either way, the younger very much wants to avoid taking it for granted.

it's... unsettling at best, what genya describes. the implications are admittedly horrifying. but for as much as senjuro scrutinizes genya's face, in the here and now, he still fails to see an active threat.]
